12v to 15v DC to DC Converters

We have a bunch of different high quality converters here at Falcon Overland, don't be fooled most of these converters look the same as cheaper knockoffs but what's inside is a different story. A lot of these cheaper converters can loose reference of what output voltage it is supposed to be outputting and send 20v through your 12v system killing everything. 

Our most popular converter is our 12v to 15v converter, this boosts your batteries voltage up from 12-13.2v to 15v at the device. This is popular for sending more voltage and therefore more power to your travel buddy oven, heated car seats, electric windows etc. Having this converter at the device mitigates the voltage drop of the cable and also boosts it to a higher voltage than the battery can supply. If the device was receiving 12v after cable losses boosting it up to 15v wouldn't sound like a big deal but the power of a motor or heater is proportional to the voltage squared so a 3v increase will give you a 36% boost in power. This is pretty safe as most 12v devices are designed to run at 14.6v which an alternator puts out but because we are sending more power than designed do this MOD at your own risk.

Do not use this to charge a battery, batteries require a DCDC charger with a proper charging algorithm. 

We also have 12v to 16v converters which deliver a 44% increase in power to a device, this is starting to get into the dangerous territory and only purchase this if you know what you are doing.
